1989Getac Begins

Welcome the dawn of Getac. In partnership with GE Aerospace & MiTAC, Getac becomes one of the world’s leading manufacturers of electronic defense devices. This is the journey.

1990

1990Lunch Box

Less than a year after Getac’s inception they unveil the fully rugged T-3020 Lunch Box with an impressive four expansion slots and nearly indestructible all-alloy chassis.

1991

1991Intel Upgrade

Getac adopts the use of the Intel processor to match the power of its users with the power of its processor adding more speed and efficiency when it’s needed most.

1992

1992N-Series

Getac launches its first military notebook, the N-Series, equipped with military connectors and GPS, finding its home in the hands of rugged warriors everywhere.

1994

1994I-Series

Reinventing the way the industrial force experiences computing, Getac presents the I-Series, the first rugged notebook with the industrial user in mind.

1995

1995L-Series

As they strive for greater mobility Getac introduces the L-Series the first semi-rugged notebook with plastic chassis, making it lighter than ever before.

1997

1997A-Series

As rigorous demands of working in harsh conditions escalate, Getac rolls out the A-Series, the first notebook with Magnesium Alloy Chassis equipped with a Pentium processor, now lighter, faster and stronger.

1998

1998The Merger

Growth explodes as Getac Corporation teams up with MiTAC International Corporation forming MiTac Technology Corporation bringing rugged notebooks to the commercial consumer.

2000

2000CA-Series

Getac introduces the CA-35, the first ever tough tablet featuring wireless internet and modem, especially optimal for those in vehicles in severe conditions allowing them to stay connected and in control.

2000Upgraded
A-Series

Getac launches the upgraded A-Series with embedded GPS, simplifying both navigation and location tracking for the most rugged missions.

2001

2001W-Series

Getac brings us the W-Series for the rugged warrior always on the move, this slim notebook was built for top performance in the
field and beyond.

2004

2004M-Series

Getac innovates once again presenting the M-Series. With more screen and more performance, this 3G wireless touch panel notebook is untouchable by the competition.

2007

2007-AV-Series

The pursuit of tougher and smarter devices drives Getac to deliver the V-Series, the first fully rugged convertible notebook with an embedded wireless module, BlueTooth and GPS.

2007-BP-Series

Additionally Getac delivered the P-Series, the newest version of the semi-rugged notebook making tough even tougher.

2007-CE-Series

Every ounce of weight counts, that’s why Getac launches the E-Series, the first light weight fully rugged tablet, lighter every step of the way.

2008

2008B-Series

Launch of the first fully rugged notebook, the B300, becoming Getac’s flagship model with an embedded sunlight readable panel and night vision for the most demanding missions.

2010

2010S-Series

The toughest of the tough are made for battle, that’s where you can find Getac’s latest S-Series semi-rugged notebook.

2011

2011MH & X Series

To cover the most tactically challenging missions Getac launches the MH-Series the first fully rugged smartphone. In addition they delivered the X-Series Getac’s first COTS military notebook – designed for command and control center operations.

2012

2012-ANew S400

S400 now includes functionality on the Chief River platform and is the first semi-rugged notebook to support Windows 8 OS and feature RFID.

2012-BAndroid Handheld

The Getac arsenal continues to grow with the development of the first Android handheld (HH), providing even greater mobility.

2012-CNew B300

The advanced B-Series becomes lightening fast supporting 4G LTE speeds with an 8-band antenna.

2012-DZ-Series

Getac’s Z-Series is the very first thin and light rugged Android tablet placing even more mobility into even more tactical hands.

The PS336 fully rugged handheld is honored with the
ATEX anti-explosive certification.
